Century of EndeavourThe Irish Association in 1990s(c) Roy Johnston 2003(comments to rjtechne@iol.ie)I revived my relationship with the Irish Association in the 1990s, around the politics of the Good Friday Agreement. I participated as an ordinary member, without being of any influence in their planning of events. It clearly fulfilled its original role, of providing a forum for intellectual contact between Northern and Southern elites, and contributed thereby to the support of the peace process as it developed during the decade. I supplied the Association with some preliminary prototyping work on the development of their web-site; this was eventually taken over and done very professionally by their then Executive Secretary Penny Gundry-Beck, and the Association is contactable at info@irish-association.org. I give here the Irish Association 2000 web-site in the form it was handed over by me to Penny during 2001.
