Dr Michael Farry is a Barrister and member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He has practiced at the Irish bar and lectures in Business law at the Institute of Technology, Carlow. He has written extensively on education legal topics and has been consultant to various educational organisations.
He pioneered the publication of Irish education law books and has lectured on postgraduate teacher courses. He is author of the seminal work "Education and the Constitution" (Round Hall - Sweet and Maxwell, 1996) and of "Vocational Teachers and the Law" (Blackhall 1998), the 'bible' for vocational teachers.
He is also author of "Cases on Contract" and is assessor and extern examiner in law to the NCEA.
